Dekonstrukt is a multimedia artist collective that is composed of the sound designer Marlene Hirtreiter and graphic designer Andre Mayr. Our audiovisual installations thematize socially and politically sensitive issues. We try to evoke through the combination of auditory and visual elements, an enhanced activity in the recipients.

The visual and auditory development, the social themes are set in an artistic context. The artistic level representation allows us a more intense and more direct communication. The aim of our work is to break with the elitist understanding of art and instead to use art as an effective communication channel.
